Samaritan’s Purse’ Operation Christmas Child is the opportunity for people to put together a shoebox of items for those in need. Talk training will be coming to the aid of many less fortunate people around the world this winter through this worthwhile cause.

Operation Christmas Child is the largest Christmas project of its kind having collected and delivered more than 135 million shoeboxes to over 150 different countries/ territories since 1993 with hopes of 2016 being another huge success. There are currently an estimated 12 million children receiving shoebox gifts this year. The shoebox gifts are collected in several countries worldwide including Australia, Canada, UK, U.S and many more with more than half a million volunteers participating each year.

Samaritan’s Purse then collects the gift-filled shoeboxes during National Collection Week which usually take places mid-November. Participants are then given the option of tracking their box to find out where in the world their box has been received.

Talk training have proudly assembled a total of 9 boxes for boys and girls aged 3 – 14 with some of our staff also volunteering at the old Sogefi warehouse in Llantrisant. We hope that all those receiving gifts through this wonderful charity have the special Christmas they deserve.
