Celebrating Success and Leadership
Talk Training ILM Management Graduation 2024
The graduation event is an annual event run by Talk training which celebrates learners on the Institute in Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 5 Management Higher Apprenticeship. The graduation marked a significant milestone for its learners, highlighting their hard work, resilience, and dedication. This year’s celebration, much like recent years, provided a platform for graduates to reflect on their learning journeys, share achievements, and recognise the transformative impact of the ILM qualification.
The ceremony brought together learners representing a wide range of employers throughout Wales, family members and special guest speakers.
Key speakers included representatives from partner organisations, as well as Talk training leaders who shared words of encouragement, fostering a sense of community and celebration whilst acknowledging the perseverance of the graduates.
Tanya Parmee, Sales Manager and Employee Representative Director of the Corporate Trustee company of Talk training, was the first speaker and gave an overview of the company and congratulated the learners, explaining that;
“We are delighted to see so many graduates here today to celebrate the successful completion of their management qualification.”
Students also listened to inspiring speeches from Robert Salter, Rowan Tree Scientific and Julie Rowlett, HE partnership Manager at the ILM.
Robert relayed his inspiring education journey which included studying for the ILM Level 5 with Talk training several years ago and then progressing on to ILM Level 7, a Doctorate and more recently the publication of several books.
Julie Rowlett, congratulated the learners and provided an overview of the ILM organisation highlighting that, “the qualification is globally recognised with 70,000 leaders and managers becoming qualified annually.”
Lisa Harris, Operations Manager and Employee Representative Director of the Corporate Trustee company of Talk training, presented students with their well-earned certificates, recognising the completion of their apprenticeship.
Many of the graduates emphasised how the ILM Higher Apprenticeship has enhanced their professional capabilities, work progression and enables them to tackle workplace challenges more effectively.
Cerian Clatworthy, Finance Manager with the NHS Shared Services is one of the graduates that has successfully completed the Level 3, 4 and 5 ILM qualifications with Talk training.
“I couldn’t have completed it without Andy, my assessor. The support and encouragement I received from the whole team really helped me. If I was to give advice to another learner, I would say that you just need to do a little bit but often so that before you know it you have finished.”
The event underscored the role of Talk training as a leading provider of leadership and management apprenticeships in Wales, with over 600 learners currently engaged across 130 organisations. The success of the 2024 graduates exemplifies Talk training’s commitment to empowering individuals and organisations in Wales and the graduation ceremony was not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of the value of lifelong learning and professional development.
