Talk training acknowledges the World Day for Safety and Health at Work which takes place on the 28th April 2016. Talk training takes great pride in maintaining a high level of Health and Safety for its staff, learners and visitors and recognises the importance placed on the company and its workers through the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Very important aspects of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are contained in sections 2 to 9 of the act and two of these are:

  • ‘It shall be the duty of all employers to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health safety and welfare of all their employees whilst they are at work.”
  • ‘It shall be the duty of the employee to take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/herself and of other persons who may be affected by his/her acts or omissions at work’.

These cornerstone elements of the Health and Safety Act 1974 place a clear duty of care on both employers and employees and clearly identify that Health and Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
