Let Digital 2014 (www.digital2014.com) show you how

Following sell-out success in 2013, Wales’ premier technology event – Digital 2014 – is returning to the Celtic Manor with a new focus and a bigger-than-ever line-up of expert speakers drawn from global technology brands. The two-day event will see thousands of delegates come together to hear from experts and organisations at the cutting-edge of technology and innovation, including the world-famous Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT), Telefonica UK, Nominet, Microsoft, We Predict and Sir Terry Matthews. Alongside an economy-focused day, the event will include a day dedicated to digital skills and young people, featuring TeenTech, Young Rewired State and Britain’s latest social media millionaire, Gianni O’Connor.

Day 1 (June 9th) – Skills Day

Inform, Invigorate, Inspire

Focusing on digital skills, Day 1 of Digital 2014 will bring together young people, educators, employers and other stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities for young people as they progress through the education system and into the workplace.

Based upon the opinions and aspirations of a representative group of young people, these digital natives will drive the agenda and debate around their ICT experiences within the education curriculum as well as their observations on their ICT job prospects as they get ready to enter the workplace.

Day 2 (June 10th) – Digital Industry Day

Engage, Educate, Energise

ICT is widely recognised as a catalyst and enabler when it comes to innovation and differentiation to deliver competitive advantage. Day 2 of Digital 2014 will bring together global technology brands, industry professionals and knowledge experts to engage, educate and energise individuals, businesses and public sector organisations around the use and uptake of digital technologies in order to achieve organisational goals and deliver economic success. Expert speakers drawn from leading technology brands, technology users and industry bodies, will share their insights and experiences around the latest trends in digital technologies within the four main themes of Cloud; Mobility; Business Analytics/Big Data and Cyber Security.

Outside of the main plenary sessions there will be a series of seminars running within each of the themed zones giving more practical detail on how these technologies can be embraced to deliver organisational success. And if all this whets the appetite there will be a digital ‘marketplace’ where ICT and digital technology providers will be on hand to discuss your needs on a one-to-one basis.
