Until February this year, Talk training’s chosen charity was the local Cystic Fibrosis unit based in Heath Hospital, Cardiff. We are delighted to report that the total funds raised for the unit were an amazing £1,118.50! Thank you to all who donated time, money and resources to help this worthwhile cause.

Talk Point, Talk training’s work council recently elected to support Bobath Wales.  Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales provides specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy to children all over Wales who have cerebral palsy. Bobath therapists work together as a team to give each child the skills to explore their world, communicate their needs, maximise their potential and so improve their quality of life. The centre Talk training is supporting is based in Whitchurch, just outside Cardiff. Information about BOBATH can be found on the following website: http://www.bobathwales.org/

The first event to support Bobath took place on Friday 28th February, where staff took part in a St David’s Day celebration. Staff brought a selection of welsh themed food to share, dressed in Welsh attire and took part in the ‘100 club’ lottery. Funds raised totalled £92. Please watch this space for more events in the future.
