in Sustainable Recycling Activities Apprenticeships in Wales

Sustainable Resource Management is a process to change (waste) materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, and reduce air pollution and water pollution. Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” waste hierarchy.

The qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to work in accordance with industry requirements in various areas of the recycling collection and segregation industry, including supervisory and management roles and Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE). It also forms the competence component of the Sustainable Resource Management Apprenticeship.
