This year, Talk training’s Annual Strategy Day took place on Friday 19th September 2014 at Coleg Y Cymoedd in Nantgarw.

The day started at 8.45am with a generous supply of tea, coffee, and breakfast rolls for everyone. The formal activities commenced with an auto enrolment pension presentation by Paul Fox of Burley Fox. The directors then presented an update on Talk Training’s strategy which included an overview of Talk training’s history and achievements, current developments and forthcoming announcements and changes in the Wales work based learning sector and a summary of the company’s financials, before closing with an outline of current and future opportunities for Talk Training.

There was celebration of achievement at the event as Talk training staff have been busy not only supporting learners, but also developing their own skills. Those presented with their qualification certificates included Sarah Miles and Rhian Lewis, who both achieved Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration, Neil Harding who achieved ILM Management Level 3, and Stephanie Williams and Gavin Anthony who achieved their TAQA award. Well Done to all staff.

It was then time for the fun part with the day’s team building activity – two rounds of ten-pin bowling at the Nantgarw Bowlplex centre. Well done Richard Humphries for achieving the highest combined score! Also, a big well done to everyone who participated – it’s the taking part that counts – not the winning!  The event was again a successful one, being informative for staff, but also fun and positive for morale and team building.
