Thank you all for your participation in the St David’s Day activities today, and for your generosity in donating prize money to the Rowan Tree Cancer Care charity.

The results for all events are as follows:

St David’s Day Quiz with £10 cash prize for winner

Jon Hughes and Emma Williams both scored 100%, so well done to both of them.

Emma completed hers in 6 minutes and 1 second, whilst Jon completed his in 14 minutes and 15 seconds, so Emma is the winner!!

Welsh Bingo on the day with our resident Welsh caller, ‘Giant Kitten’ – two games with £10 for first line and £20 for full house.

Game 1

  • Line – James Moroney
  • Full House – James Moroney

Game 2

  • Line – Laura Williams
  • Full House – James Moroney

Best Welsh themed Teams backdrop with £10 for the winner

  • This went to Tony Thorne for his background with the Welsh flag and a patriotic poem by Wilfred Wilson

Best Welsh themed costume/dress for the day with £10 for the winner

  • This went to Alison Anthony for her ‘daffodil’ look and Welsh waistcoat and dress

Bake-Off with two different categories

  • Virtual – there were no entries for the virtual competition so the £10 prize money is being donated to the Rowan Tree by default
  • Real – for those who can bring their Welsh themed (sweet or savoury) creations into the office

The winner was Mike Woods for his Welsh cakes! (I’ve only been trying for 8 years, and at long last my Welsh cakes were approved by Jon Hughes, the Managing Director, although it was very close apparently!)

The runners up were Alison Anthony for her jam split Welsh cakes and her lemon split Welsh cakes

This means that we have raised

£0
