Employee Ownership Day 2023 – EO Day
This year Talk training are proud to celebrate EO day since becoming an employee owned business in February of this year.
For those of you that don’t know, EO Day is an annual celebration to promote and raise awareness about employee ownership and the 23rd June marks the 11th annual EO day!
EO Day is organised by the Employee Ownership Association (EOA), an organisation that advocates for employee ownership and supports businesses in transitioning to employee-owned models. The day aims to highlight the benefits of employee ownership, such as increased employee engagement, productivity, and long-term business sustainability.
One of the reasons that Talk Training transitioned to an EO business was its commitment and loyalty to its staff, many of whom have been at the company since its inception almost 30 years ago.
Jon Hughes, Talk Training’s Managing Director, said;
“The Employee Owned Trust allows our staff to feel even more connected to the company and they have a real stake in the success of the business. They can all take pride in knowing that they are shareholders and building for the future.”
This years EO day follows the theme of #TheEOeffect which identifies that employee owned businesses are more resilient to change, benefit the local economy, the communities they serve and provide long term employment prospects for staff.
Talk training certainly reflects these values and is a recognised market leader in the delivery of Apprenticeships in Wales with over 27 years experience, working with over 130 Welsh companies and have delivered over 25,000 apprenticeships.
If you are interested in any of the qualifications we provide or in working for an employee owned business, get in touch with one of our team to find out more. We are happy to offer advice and guidance on some of the options available to you.
Happy EO day everyone!
