On Friday 29th May a Charity Dinner was organised by Emma Tanner, an employee of Talk Training, to raise much needed funds for Casey’s Cause. Casey’s Cause is Talk Training’s current nominated charity.

The Charity Dinner was held at The Hilton Hotel, Newport. The evening included a three course meal, entertainment, auction and raffle. The auction prizes consisted of a week’s holiday in Marbella, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at The Celtic Manor Resort, signed Cardiff City shirt, signed Newport County shirt and signed Newport Gwent Dragons shirt which were all donated by the clubs. Many local businesses supported the evening by donating over 30 raffle prizes. The evening was a great success and £4,600 was raised.

Emma said “I organised this Charity Dinner to raise awareness and as much money as I could for this special little boy. What Casey has been through in the last three years is more than anyone should have to bare. The family are very close to my heart and the money raised from the evening will help purchase the specialist equipment that Casey needs to make his life a little more comfortable. I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity from people who donated raffle and auction prizes and also to those who attended on the evening. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to make the evening the success it was”.

Casey’s Dad, Mum and sister said the night was a huge success and they thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The money raised will go towards an electric ramp for Casey’s new wheelchair. Due to the success of the this year’s event, another has already been booked for next year, on Saturday 7th May 2016, again at The Hilton Hotel, Newport.

Unfortunately the family have recently been dealt with further life changing news Casey’s dad, Anthony, who has previously fought cancer, has recently been advised that his tumour has returned and is now grade 3-4. Anthony is rolling up his sleeves and saying “I can beat this”.

Anthony is a strong, positive, and inspirational man who now has a donation page, which has been set up by friends.
