in Advice and Guidance Apprenticeships in Wales

This qualification has been developed to support those who are employed in the information, advice and guidance related services sectors. It is aimed at those working with a range of clients and agencies, including but not limited to support agencies and other social support organisations. The framework will provide individuals with the skills they need to deliver high quality information, advice and/or guidance related services (dependent on role), help them develop in their role, and support progression into supervisory, management and/or higher professional roles.

The qualification covers communication and interactions to support clients in preparing and completing their chosen options; the knowledge required to work with legislative and procedural frameworks; advocacy, mediation, representation and formal proceedings; working with other services through negotiation, liaison and referral and, reviewing own development.

Advice and Guidance in Wales Apprenticeship

We offer two Advice and Guidance Apprenticeships

Developed to support those who are employed in the information, advice and guidance related service sectors.

Higher apprenticeship (Level 4) is intended for individuals working in all advice and guidance settings such as Customer Liaison Officers, Employment Liaison Officers, Family Support Officers, Senior Project Workers/Coordinators, HR Administrators, Tutors, Engagement Officers, Job Coaches, etc.

Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Who is the qualification for?

This qualification has been developed to support those who are employed in the information, advice and guidance related service sectors. Employees working with a range of clients and agencies, including but not limited to support agencies and other social support organisations. The framework will provide individuals with the skills they need to deliver high quality information, advice and/or guidance related services (dependent on role), help them develop in their role, and support progression into supervisory, management and/or higher professional roles.
