Finance and Administration Manager
Talk Training Ltd, an employee-owned business, has a position available for a Finance and Administration Manager at its office based in Nantgarw. The vacancy is a permanent/full time position.
Initially working alongside the Finance Director, the applicant will very quickly be expected to work independently and manage the finance, administration and HR functions of the Company. The position also provides the opportunity for fast track to operational and Trustee Board level.
The position will suit an ambitious individual with a professional approach and someone who has experience of working with directors and senior management in an SME environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and payroll, budgeting and cashflow forecasting and will require strong general office administration skills, proficiency in IT and a working knowledge of HR.
A hands-on approach and the ability to be multi-disciplinary and work seamlessly with managers of other non-finance related departments will be essential.
The applicant should have experience in the following areas:
- Financial accounting and reporting using SAGE Line 50.
- Payroll preparation and reporting using SAGE Line 50.
- Budget and cashflow preparation.
- Proficient IT skills and experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is desirable.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills and a flexible approach with the ability to organise and prioritise workloads. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
- Strong supervisory, leadership and staff development skills.
- A general knowledge of quality, health and safety and environmental standards for business is desirable.

Sustainable Resource Management (Recycling) Trainer/Assessor
Talk Training has a position available for a Sustainable Resource Management (Recycling) Trainer/Assessor within the Operations Department based at our Nantgarw office. The vacancy is a permanent/full time position, with an immediate start date.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of QCF Apprenticeship programmes, undertaking NVQ and VRQ assessment and / or training programmes.
Ideally the applicant should have experience in the following areas:
- Confidence to assess holistically and current occupational competence to ensure an up to date working knowledge of the relevant framework.
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach with the ability to organise and prioritise own workload are essential.
- Applicants must have their own transport and hold a full clean driving licence.

Trainee Assessor/Qualified Assessor
We currently have two positions available for a Trainee Trainer/Assessor or qualified Assessor based within the Operations Department in Nantgarw.
The vacancy is permanent/full-time position, with an immediate start date.
The programme areas delivered are: Business Administration Levels 2-4, Customer Services Levels 2-3, IT Levels 2-3, Advice & Guidance Level 4, Learning & Development Level 3, Management Levels 2-5 and Project Management L4. Applicants do not have to be competent in all areas but we are looking for Assessors who are competent in at least one area.
The successful applicants will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of Apprenticeship programmes, undertaking NVQ and VRQ assessment and/or training programmes.
Ideally, the applicants should have experience in the following areas:
- Current occupational competence to ensure an up to date working knowledge of the relevant framework
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach with the ability to organise and prioritise own workload are essential
- Applicants must have their own transport and hold a full clean driving licence
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, Estyn requirement and External Quality Assurance visits.
- Ability to plan, schedule and evaluate work for proficient performance.
- Attention to detail and good auditing skills.
- Possess report writing skills.
- Good time management.
Salary: £24,440 plus benefits package
Hours of work: 34.5 Monday – Thursday 9.00am to 17.00pm and Friday 9.00am to 13.30pm (Hybrid working)
